The Australian Institute of Sport graduate started his career with Perth Glory, where he played 32 matches and scored four goals.
Celeski then went on to play the 2013/14 season with Al Shaab CSC in the United Arab Emirates, before representing Liaoning Whowin in the Chinese Super League.
He has represented Australia at under-20 and under-23 levels and earned a senior Socceroos cap in 2009 in an AFC Asian Cup qualifying match against Indonesia.
Jets head coach Phil Stubbins said Celeski was a versatile player.
Celeski's signing was part of the Jets' pre-season shake-up, including the appointment of former Dutch international Kew Jaliens as team captain.
The team has already launched into the FFA Cup knockout competition ahead of the 2014/15 A-League season.
The Jets played against Perth Glory last Tuesday at Broadmeadow's Magic Park and lost 2-0.
