Walmsley led all scorers with 13 points as the Hunters fought back from an 11-4 deficit early in the game to bag their third win of the season in as many games.
Sutherland led 22-20 at half-time but Walmsley combined her points with three rebounds, two assists and two steals.
Bendeich was awesome at both ends, scoring 12 points and dragging down 14 rebounds to help secure the win.
The win was even more impressive considering young gun Jasmine Forcadilla was away playing at the Australian Under-20s Championships in Dandenong, Victoria.
Justin Hamilton scored a game-high 15 points as the Newcastle Hunters men defeated Sutherland 92-62 to remain undefeated at home this season.
