TransGrid operates the high-voltage network in NSW and the ACT, connecting generators, distributors and major end users.
“Our annual aerial patrol inspections are part of our comprehensive transmission line maintenance program, which is critical to help ensure reliability and safety of the public, our staff and network,” TransGrid’s community engagement specialist Melissa Maurer said.
The annual inspections are conducted in early spring to identify and address any issues prior to summer. TransGrid looks for any vegetation encroachments along transmission line easements.
