Police have urged public to report suspicious activity in Wallsend after shots were fired into a unit on Friday night.

About 10.50pm police from Newcastle City Local Area Command were contacted by concerned members of the public after two gun shots were heard.
Police attended Abbott Street and after speaking with several residents attended a unit block where they secured several items that were located in the common driveway.
The officers were approached by the resident of one unit who showed them gunshot damage to the walls of his premises.
Officers attended an adjoining unit and spoke with a 30-year-old man and a 33-year-old man.
Police established several crime scenes and forensic officers conducted a search of those locations. No firearms were located.
There are no reports of injury from the incident.
The two men were conveyed to Waratah Police Station but were released pending further inquiries.
Investigators from Newcastle City LAC have appealed to the community for anyone with information about suspicious activity in the area to report it immediately.
