A MAN will face court today over charges relating to a shooting on Gordon Avenue late last year.
Police allege three men entered a unit about 10.40pm on Monday December 18, one man carrying a firearm.
The men spoke with the 37-year-old occupant before a confrontation that ended with the shooting, police said.
Newcastle detectives patrolling in Wallsend about 2.25am on Monday spoke to a man at a home in Bent Street.
The 36-year-old was arrested and later charged with shoot with intent to murder and an outstanding warrant.
He was refused bail to face Newcastle Local Court.
Another man has been charged previously. He remains before the courts.
Inquiries continue.
