
A man has been charged with firearm offences after allegedly pointing a replica handgun at a mother and her teenage daughter at Tuggerah railway station on Monday.
Police said a woman and her 13-year-old daughter were walking towards the commuter carpark from Tuggerah Railway Station on Monday at around 1.30pm when they noticed a man sitting nearby.
It is alleged the man was holding a black handgun, which was pointed directly toward the young girl.
The mother and daughter quickly left the area and walked to their car, where they contacted police.
Officers arrived and searched a 38 year-old man. Police allegedly located a black replica firearm.
The man was arrested and taken to Wyong Police Station.
He was charged with armed with intent to commit indictable offence, possess unregistered/unauthorised pistol in a public place, and intimidation.
He was refused bail to appear at Wyong Local Court on Tuesday.
