The project will add 154 apartments to the harbour waterfront on Honeysuckle Drive, with about 300 workers expected to be on site at the peak of the two-year build.
Canberra-based Doma Group is behind the project.

The firm’s managing director, Jure Domazet, said Newcastle “has been a nice place for us to be”.
The group has picked up a swag of former Hunter Development Corporation land in Honeysuckle.
Doma also owns 35 and 42 Honeysuckle Drive, where it plans to build apartments and a hotel.
Lord mayor Nuatali Nelmes said the council was on track to exceed the value of last year’s development application approvals of about $1 billion.
She said the final figure would be clearer at the end of the financial year.
