The undefeated Opals are one more win away from reaching the medal matches at the 2018 World Cup in Spain and will face China in Friday night’s quarter-final.
The Australian women’s squad, including Newcastle’s Katie Ebzery, had an extra day off after automatically qualifying for the top eight via the preliminary rounds.
China beat Japan in a play-off on Wednesday night.
The Opals have accounted for Turkey (90-64), Argentina (84-43) and Nigeria (86-68).
Starting point guard Ebzery, a Rio Olympian and Commonwealth Games gold medalist, is averaging 3.3 assists per game, including five in her latest outing. She has eight points overall from 15 shots.
The winner of Friday’s fixture will meet either Spain or Canada in the semis while the US, Nigeria, Belgium and France are alive on the other side of the draw.
Tip-off is 11pm (AEST).
