BEACH WATCH

A continuation of the N/E winds again for today which is limiting the cleaner waves to the protected norther corners. Conditions to remain choppy and similar to the last few days. Swell from the East at 1.5 to 2m. Winds lighter North before freshening N/E for the afternoon. Tide is running out to a late morning low tide. Newcastle Beach off point and middle sure to be popular. Merewether is sanding up and reform bank at Dixon. Redhead and Frenchmans to the south. Birubie and Seals Rocks area to the north. Sweeps are running to the south and some erosion at Newcastle Beach. Only swim at patrolled beaches in flags. Water temp 16C. - Dave Anderson
