LAKE Macquarie will provide two of the four stages of the 2019 Port to Port mountain bike event which starts next Thursday.

The four-day event will begin with a 48km ride at Pokolbin, in the Hunter Valley, on Thursday, May 23.
Stage 2 shifts to a 46km ride in the shadow of Mount Sugarloaf, at Killingworth, on the Friday.
The action returns to Cooranbong and the Awaba Mountain Bike Park for a 58km section through the Watagan Mountains on Saturday. Riders will start at Cooranbong Park from 8am.
Riders will then bring it home with a 40km ride through Glenrock Mountain Bike Park, in Newcastle.
"Over the past five years, Port to Port has quickly developed the reputation of being one of Australia's premier MTB stage races," a spokesperson for the event said.
