Rosebud play their catch-up game after a frustrating 2-1 loss to leaders Weston on Sunday. Two Liam Wilson bombs from outside the 18-yard box put the Bears ahead before Luke Vallone scored to give the visitors hope for the last 30 minutes.
It what has been a familiar story this season, Adamstown impressed but came away with nothing. They sit 10th on six points.
"Credit to our boys, 2-0 down against the top of the table and we kept fighting," Cansdell-Sherriff said.
"But, for me, we're causing our own problems. There was a lack of discipline in the middle of the park. If done right, the goalscorer wouldn't have been in space to open up and do what he did.
"There was a bit of frustration because we've talked about those roles."
Rosebud back up against Jaffas at 1pm on Saturday. The early start is to help the club prepare for their 130th year gala ball that night.
** Lake Macquarie coach Nick Webb said the rebuild for next year had begun.
Led by player of the year and golden boot Sam Walker, the Roosters finished eighth last season and they were expected to improve. However, they have just four points from 11 games to sit last.
Webb said the coaching group at Lakes had been re-signed and the focus was on recruiting experienced players for 2020.
"We've got to build for next year and make sure we are competitive," Webb said. "The 16s, 18s and 20s are doing super, which is great, and next year we need to make sure first grade is doing well."
He said the club needed "a bit more maturity in certain areas" after conceding a league-high 34 goals, but his greatest frustration was in attack.
"I just don't think we are taking the chances we did last year," he said.
"Sam has scored half a dozen but the other strikers need to stand up and score goals. You can't miss three inside the six, like we did on the weekend, against any team, let alone Magic."
Lake Macquarie lost 2-0 to Broadmeadow on Saturday and they host in-form Charlestown on Sunday in round 14.
** Charlestown coach David Tanchevski expected to have midfielders Musa Kamara and Peter McPherson back this weekend to help compensate for the loss of Tom Smart and Riley McNaughton to suspension.
Smart and McNaughton were sent off in a 1-0 win over Edgeworth on Sunday and will miss the game against Lakes at Macquarie Field.
McPherson is returning from a hamstring injury and Kamara is coming back from overseas.
** Hamilton coach Peter McGuinness will remain at the helm next season.
Olympic are eighth on 14 points after 12 games following another frustrating 2-0 loss on Saturday to Lambton Jaffas.
Hamilton missed a penalty then conceded twice inside four minutes soon after.
They take on derby rivals Broadmeadow at Darling Street Oval on Saturday from 5pm and McGuinness believes "we've virtually got to win everything from here on in" to make the finals.
"It's been a little bit hard to take but we'll keep plugging away," he said.
"We're trying to play football, and I think we are playing good football, but we're not turning it into points."
McGuinness is in the second season of a three-year agreement at Olympic.
"I'm staying on and we're in the process now of getting things sorted for players for next year," he said.
