Fabrizio scored with a close-range header in the 81st minute and a long-range strike in the 88th as the Eagles defeated Northern NSW NPL premiers Maitland 2-0 on Sunday at Magic Park.
It was the 21-year-old's sixth top-grade appearance for Edgeworth in his return from a knee reconstruction and following meniscus damage.
It was Fabrizio's first season in the NNSW NPL after previously playing in Canberra with Belconnen and the region's National Youth League side.
Eagles coach Damian Zane said the attacking midfielder was returning to the nation's capital to play as an over-age member of the Canberra NYL side for the summer.
"Daniel is going to play for Canberra but I would like to get him back again," Zane said.
"He's lived with us, and he's a great kid, and I think you saw his potential just not in the goals, but his play as well. He was our shining light in the grand final and it was just the tip of the iceberg. He's better than that."
Zane hoped a summer of football would help Fabrizio catch up on time lost with injury.
The Eagles will lose retiring club great Daniel McBreen, while fellow striker Oliver Smith appears unlikely to return. Stalwart Aaron McLoughlin and Josh Cairelli did not feature in the second half of the season and are also leaving.
However, Edgeworth have picked up Hunter from Lake Macquarie.
"He's versatile, he can do a couple of different roles and he's almost a substitute for Aaron McLoughlin," Zane said. "It gives us a bit of room to move. He could even play left-back and I can push Josh Rose higher."
Zane said Dom Bizzarri was ahead of schedule in his recovery from a knee reconstruction and will be running in October. Mitch Dobson could return from US college to play in 2020, but Jose Atayde was unlikely to be back from overseas. Liam Spurway was a potential loss due to work commitments.
