First National Newcastle City's George Rafty marketed the home on 1940 square metres of land backing on to Blackbutt Reserve with a guide of $1.85 million to $1.95 million and was "blown away" by the response.
It is the second-highest sale for Lookout Road. No.83 sold for $2 million in 2016, according to Australian Property Monitors data.
Also in New Lambton Heights, $995,000 has been paid by a local family for a home built by the Stronach family at 4 Hurn Street that was marketed by Dalton Partners.
