A massive international contingent of 225 surfers have filled a total of 330 entries for the main men's and women's events at Surfest.

Entries for the 5000-point qualifying series contests at Merewether from March 2-8 were finalised Wednesday.
Frenchwoman Johanne Defay, the world No.8, was confirmed as top seed among 122 entries for the Doyle Partners Women's Pro, which has a main draw of 96.
Julian Wilson, the men's world No.11, is top seed in the Surfest Newcastle Pro, presented by Burton Automotive. The contest attracted 208 entries for a field of 144.
The appeal of Surfest to overseas competitors was again highlighted by the fact 81 of the women's entries and 144 of the men's were international surfers.
