BEACH WATCH

Low pressure system off the coast is splitting into two cells which both will generate swell and stronger winds. Surf conditions look like going onshore but may see a cleaner wave early. Swell from the east to south at 1.5 to 2.5m. Wind west to SW freshening south tides is low first up and not a big incoming tide which will fill after midday. Better waves have been on the south facing banks and reefs. Try Merewether, South Bar and Nobbys. As tide fills Divider and Pogos. To the south Dudley, Frenchmans and Catho .One Mile and Fingal up at Port Stephens. Sweeps to develop and strengthen as the swell increases and run to the north. Water temp 15C. - Dave Anderson
