Mr Fuller, now 33, has admitted to killing Mr McCulloch, 50, and has pleaded guilty to manslaughter over the stabbing in Beach Street on December 19, 2018.
But he has pleaded not guilty to murder, denying he had intended to kill or seriously injure Mr McCulloch and raised the partial defence of both excessive self-defence and extreme provocation.
After hearing two weeks of evidence and addresses, the jury retired to begin considering its verdict at 12.30pm on Monday.
Mr McCulloch, who was the partner of Mr Fuller's half-sister Kristy Duley, was stabbed while sitting in the front seat of his Nissan Navara after twice reversing his car into Mr Fuller's car in Beach Street.
Mr Fuller told the jury Mr McCulloch had reversed the car a third time, this time at him, before the stabbing.
