Magic beat the Eagles 4-3 in extra-time on Wednesday night in the FFA Cup then 2-1 in the NPL on Sunday and Walker missed both games.
Jayden Stewardson was preferred up front and he scored the winner in the cup.
Walker is Magic's leading scorer with five goals in the NPL this season. Four came in the 4-0 win over Valentine.
"In the cup, I thought that it suited Stewy a bit more than Sam and obviously Stewy did the business," Zane said. "Sam will still be playing his part. I expect there's going to be games where he's going to be important for us, and we had a good chat and it was positive.
"I know Edgeworth better than anyone, with their physicality at the back, so that's what we often do - it's about match-ups."
** Adamstown coach Dave Rosewarne expects Oliver Davies to miss at least three to four weeks with an ankle injury from a tough outing in the 3-1 loss to Lake Macquarie on Saturday.
Davies scored an own goal then was sent off for a challenge on Josh Maguire in which he came off second best. Rosewarne said initial X-rays showed no breaks but Davies would likely be out longer than his suspension.
** The Hunter girls' team completed a first double for the region when they won the NSW CHS title last month.
The 1-0 victory over South Coast in the final followed the boys' win two weeks earlier. Player of the final Ella Murray scored the winner and Chloe Smith was named the tournament's best.
Murray was a late call-up to the Hunter squad, who had only 13 players for the tournament and lost two before the finals to injury.
They played the semi-final and decider with no reserves.
Leia Puxty was named Hunter's MVP for the series.
The girls' side won the title in 2015, while the boys' ended a 44-year drought with their victory.
Hunter girls' coach Blair Newham teaches at the same school, Rutherford Technology High, as Hunter boys' coach Robert Jovanovski.
Puxty, Smith and Hunter teammates Kirsty Fenton, Teagan Douglas, Josie Morley, and Milan Hammond were selected in the NSW CHS No.1 squad.
The Hunter girls squad was: Mia McLachlan, Ella Murray, Kirsty Fenton, Leia Puxty, Chloe Walandouw, Brianna Williams, Milan Hammond (Hunter Sports), Amy Parkinson (Cardiff), Teagan Douglas, Josie Morley (Maitland Grossmann), Chloe Smith, Brinley Gentle (Lambton), Montana Quick (CC Jesmond).
