Mr Baird listed the five-bedroom, three-bathroom residence on 2.5 acres 21 Fletcher Street with a guide of $1.65 million.
The property also featured a "state-of-the-art" swimming pool complete with an undercover spa and a resort-style cabana.
It was purchased by a Sydney buyer, looking to use the property as a weekender, within two weeks on the market.
"There was a lot of interest and that's a Cessnock LGA record for a residential property, that's a home on under five acres of land," Mr Baird said.
"It's just showing how much faith people are putting in the Hunter Valley. It's not uncommon for us to be selling properties in the $700,000s in Cessnock now. It's showing that people love the space and land here with bigger block sizes on offer."
Dowling Property Group's Steven Dorman and Joe Di Claudio have reported the $1 million sale of a four-bedroom house at 52B Kahibah Road in Highfields.
Mr Dorman said the result came in around two weeks with multiple offers made and a mix of local and Sydney buyer interest.
"It's a very tightly held area and is quite sought after because of where it is situated," Mr Dorman said.
The home was listed with a guide a $890,000 to $970,000 and is one of the highest on record for Highfields, according to CoreLogic data.
CoreLogic data also shows the suburb median house sale price to be $780,000.
A Highfields record of $1.33 million was established with the sale of a home on a double block at 26-28 Hillcrest Parade in October last year.
There were multiple offers reportedly made for a renovated three-bedroom home on a block of almost 850 square metres which backs on to bushland at 20 Penrose Street, Edgeworth.
Belle Property Lake Macquarie listed the property with a guide of $595,000 to $650,000. It was on the market for 18 days and sold for $674,500.
A four-bedroom brick home at 1 Crane Close in Cameron Park that was marketed by Belle Property sold for its guide of $850,000 within 16 days on the market.
Belle also sold a three-bedroom house at 4 Fulmar Close in Mount Hutton for $740,520. It was marketed with a guide of $695,000 to $750,000.
