BEACH WATCH
Surf to remain choppy as onshore winds are on the forecast for the start of the week. Poor wave quality at most beaches though there does seem to be an improvement in the banks. Swell from the S/E at 2m decreasing to 1.5m. Wind moderate S/E to East turning N/E during afternoon. Tides full early and may find a few bumpy rights in Cowrie and off the rocks at Merewether. Mid day low so try Nobbys Bank for few lefts. To the south,Dudley and Catho. One Mile up at Port Stephens. Beaches sanding up except for Merewether and shallow banks with gutters inclose. Water temp 16C. - Dave Anderson
