One month after the five-bedroom home at 39 Tallowwood Crescent set a new suburb record of $1.54 million, the figure was all but matched by another five-bedder three minutes up the road.
A Blue Mountains buyer paid $1.5 million for 15 Sabre Close, a six-year-old property situated across the road from the Bishop Tyrrell Anglican College school.
The sale reflects the huge rise in Fletcher's median house prices this year, with CoreLogic data showing a jump from $600,000 to $700,000 between January and August.
Five of the suburb's 13 million-dollar sales have come in the past five weeks.
PRD Newcastle and Lake Macquarie's Jeremy Allwood said the 1380 square metre block was ideal for the new owners, who took it off the market pre-auction.
"It's very rare to find a block this big in Fletcher - there's only a couple of them around," Mr Allwood said.
"It's like a soccer pitch on the right hand side, it's pretty big and you've got drive through access.
"They wanted space to put a shed up so it was perfect for them."
Mr Allwood said the sellers were planning to build in Heddon Greta.
