Newcastle Permanent Charitable Foundation made the announcements yesterday, which saw $800,000 delivered to a dozen charities and not for profit groups across NSW.
Newcastle Permanent Charitable Foundation chair Jennifer Leslie said the recipients were selected because "we know it will make a difference". "I've seen first-hand the long-lasting impact our grants have in delivering projects and outcomes that help create opportunities for those in need to thrive. These projects will help to rewrite the future for many," she said.
Projects selected from the Newcastle and Hunter region to receive $477,000 in Newcastle Permanent Charitable Foundation grants were:
- Rural and Remote Medical Services Limited - dental and medical services to disadvantaged rural and regional communities using technology - $120,000
- KIDS Foundation - SeeMore eSafety - $90,000
- We Care Connect Limited - We Care Hunter - $70,000
- Little Wings Limited - Medical Wings 2.0 - $60,000
- Missing School Incorporated - See-Be the Robot Service for Sick Kids - $50,000
- Livefree Project Inc - Smile & Thrive Dental Program - $44,000
- Dementia Australia Limited - Virtual Reality equipment and immersive VR education for Caregivers - $43,000
