The North Stars will meet the Sydney Ice Dogs in the decider at Melbourne's Docklands at 4pm.
During Saturday night's match against Thunder, North Stars import Pier-Olivier Cotnoir scored a goal in each period to rack up a hat-trick.
Fellow Canadians Jeff Martens and Dominic Osman scored one each, and the Central Coast's Beau Taylor knocked one home to put the result beyond reach.
