A MAN has died and two people were injured in a serious single-vehicle accident on The Bucketts Way.

About 4.55pm Saturday emergency services were called to The Bucketts, near Hillville Road, following reports a Holden Commodore had left the road and crashed into a large tree.
A male passenger, aged 22, sustained serious injuries ion the crash and died at the scene.
A 21-year-old female driver, and a second passenger, aged two, were trapped in the vehicle.
Police, paramedics, the Volunteer Rescue Association and the Rural Fire Service worked to free the two people from the vehicle. The female and infant were stabilised at the scene.
The infant suffered multiple fractures and was airlifted by the Westpac Rescue Helicopter to John Hunter Hospital in a stable condition.
A second Westpac Rescue Helicopter airlifted the 21-year-old to John Hunter Hospital in a non-life-threatening condition, with unspecified injuries.
Newcastle Crash Investigation Unit attended and established a crime scene. The Holden Commodore has been seized for further investigation.
A report has been prepared for the information of the coroner.
