Broadmeadow joined Newcastle Olympic on top of the Herald Women's Premier League ladder by beating Mid Coast 3-1 at Magic Park on Sunday but coach Jake Curley was far from impressed with Magic's performance.

Only two of the four games scheduled for Sunday went ahead due to coronavirus concerns in the region. Warners Bay improved to third spot with a 5-0 victory over Adamstown at John Street Oval in the other match.
The game was the third of five in two weeks for Magic and Curley felt fatigue was starting to play a factor.
"We were poor," Curley said post-match. "Too much transition. Didn't control the game. Didn't play into Gemma [Harrison's] feet. There was nothing about that I liked ... to be fair though, it's good to win and to not play well."
All of the goals came in the second half. Harrison, in her first appearance since joining Magic, had the best chance of the first half with a close-range effort off a corner that was saved on the goal line by Mid Coast goalkeeper Xanthe Parsons in the 25th minute.
Lucy Jerram broke the deadlock in the 59th minute with a left-footed strike from the edge of the 18-yard box which an out-stretched Parsons got a hand to but could not stop. Maddie Dean extended the advantage to 2-0 on the 70-minute mark with a close-range effort.
The visitors edged back into the game in the 76th minute when Jess James scored in a goalmouth scrap after a free kick. She came close to producing an equaliser moments later with a header from another free kick that hit the underside of the cross bar before being wrapped up by Magic shot-stopper Jess Schultz.
Mel Price sealed the win with a long-range speculator four minutes from the end.
Magic improved to 13 points and equal footing with Newcastle Olympic, who hold top spot with a superior goal difference. But Broadmeadow can seize the outright lead with victory over last-placed Thornton on Wednesday night. They round out the tough two-week period against Warners Bay in round eight.
Warners Bay are one point adrift of Magic and Olympic after their round-seven win on Sunday. The Panthers led 1-0 at the break before scoring four in the second period.
Annika D'Amico produced a match double. Jen Hoy and Ryley Field both scored and Adamstown conceded an own goal.
"We were more clinical in that final third and having Jen back there added that bit of spark," Atkins said.
"The combinations up top were fantastic and we had runners in there left, right and centre all day. I was really impressed by the anticipation around the box and we got those goals which we deserved."
Merewether's match against Thornton and New Lambton's with Olympic were called off due to coronavirus concerns.
Pointscore:
