There were six registered bidders for a four-bedroom house in a prized pocket of Newcastle real estate. First National Newcastle City's George Rafty marketed 8 Ridge Lane in New Lambton with a guide of $1.4 million to $1.5 million and it sold under the hammer for $2.002 million.
According to Australian Property Monitors data, it was the second-highest sale for exclusive Ridge Lane. The highest was when a suburb record $3.86 million was paid for 5 Ridge Lane last year.
A three-bedroom brick home at 22 Smith Street in Hamilton South marketed by Robinson Property's Tony Reville with a guide of $1.3 million attracted 11 registered bidders and sold under the hammer for $1.555 million after "spirited, competitive bidding".
Movable's Patrick Collins reported 14 registered bidders, including three online, for a three-bedroom home at 9 George Street in Tighes Hill that was marketed with a guide of $565,000 and sold for $655,000.
Movable also sold 78 Gregson Avenue in Mayfield West at auction for $706,000.
A three-bedroom home on a 746 square metre block at 127 Bayview Street, Warners Bay that was marketed by Belle Property Lake Macquarie with a guide of $650,000 sold at auction for an undisclosed price rumoured to have been $720,000.
A three-bedroom house at 10 Elizabeth Street that was marketed by Spillane Property with a guide of $600,000 to $660,000 sold at auction on March 5 for $805,000.
