A Central Coast couple were charged with more than 260 alleged child sexual and physical abuse offences on Thursday following a year-long police investigation.

Detectives formed up Strike Force Bloomsbury in February last year to investigate the supply of drugs on the Central Coast and, on February 26 2021, seized swords, knives, knuckle dusters, an electronic stun device, mobile phones, methylamphetamine, MDMA, cannabis and cash from a Narara home during the execution of a search warrant.
Following an analysis of the seized items, detectives commenced an investigation into alleged child sexual offences committed against a teenage boy between 2016 and 2020.
A 48-year-old man and 47-year-old woman remain before the court charged with with drug, weapon and sex-related offences. On Thursday, police charged the man with an additional 126 sex-related offences and the woman with an additional 136 sex-related offences.
Police say the charges include allegedly doing an intentional and aggravated sexual act with a child, intentionally sexually touching a child, filming a sexual act with a child for abuse material and involving a child younger than 14 in making abuse material.
The couple were expected to appear before Gosford Local Court on Friday. Anyone with information has been urged to contact CrimeStoppers on 1800 333 000.
